Glidden – Spina & Partners, Architecture and Interior Design, Inc. (GS&P), have recently completed two design projects for Lydian Bank & Trust in Coral Gables and on Palm Beach.
The renovation of Lydian Bank’s Palm Beach headquarters on Royal Palm Way incorporated the 1st and 3rd floors of the building and approximately 19,000 square feet of space. The GS&P design team created a space for the Bank that honored the pride and prestige of the institution, reflected quality traditional influences, achieved higher space utilization, increased productivity and promoted a sense of community. Notable design elements include a serene color palette reinforcing the feeling of openness, fresh white millwork, richly textured raffia wall covering and dark stained floors.
GS&P’s design for the renovation of Lydian’s 4,000 square foot boutique offices in Coral Gables blends a modern international aesthetic consistent with the surrounding eclectic community. The office building was rehabilitated to enhance its street presence by refining the original, strong geometric forms combined with the use of a smooth stucco finish, tone on tone, contemporary color palette and a modern landscape design. Inside, the revitalization incorporates Class “A” finishes including medium toned wood paneling, stone flooring, clean glass interior partitions and creative lighting techniques to open up the space and provide visual continuity with the clean, contemporary aesthetic of the exterior. Interior design elements also reflect traditional influences of the well-established Lydian Bank institution such as the sofa styling and area rug accented by deep, rich wood.
